About Mrs. Todorovich Welcome to Kindergarten! I am Mrs. Helyn Todorovich and I am thrilled to teach kindergarten. It is the best place to learn, play and grow. I have a Bachelors of Education/Special Education from Eastern Michigan and a Masters in Curriculum/Instruction/ and Leadership from Oakland University. Although I was born and raised in Michigan, my first teaching job was in Moreno Valley, California. There I taught special education and first grade for five years. When I returned to Michigan I was fortunate to secure a job in Troy also teaching special education and first grade. Of my 30+ years teaching, most have been in first grade or kindergarten. I love teaching kindergarten because it is a year of such enormous growth. I am always amazed at the end of the year at how much the children have learned! I am blessed to have a wonderful family that I cherish very much. My husband Vince and I just celebrated our 23 year anniversary! We have 2 children, Maggie (21) and Vinnie (14). We love to spend time traveling, biking, swimming and just plain relaxing together. We enjoy cooking and love to have family meals together every night. We have a pet dog, named Molly who also loves to eat! And a new puppy named, Nahla!

I have 2 golden retrievers named Molly and Nahla I could possibly be a chocoholic My family loves country music My favorite thing to do is sit by a pool or beach and take in the sunshine I love to go on long bike rides I once jumped out of a perfectly good airplane! What was I thinking??? My favorite movies are The Sound of Music and Star Wars. (The real ones, from the 80's) My birthday is April 11th---which means... Ms. Gerbe, Ms. Bakka, and I all have birthdays within 4 days of each other! What a surprise!
